Voyage of the Moondancer

We are following a dream of adventure and learning. Travelling under sail, in the good ship Moondancer, through Europe, the Canaries, Cape Verde and West Africa.

We are a group of musicians, story tellers, environmentalists and educators passionate about exploring the world we live in. We are working with local people along the way to create music, films, environmental and educational programmes.

This website is an opportunity for you to participate through stories, songs and pictures. We hope that you get inspired to follow your own dreams. Feel free to get in touch, share your thoughts and maybe even join us!

SO WHAT IS THE BIGGER VISION?

The Journey

This great river of life that we have been blessed with is an opportunity to create something beautiful, something that itself may also inspire greater beauty. We live in seriously troubled times and when we look out into the world it is easy to feel powerless, but then we have a crazy idea, a big dream that blows us away. We just have to go do it, yet others say its not possible … but we do it anyway.

It takes courage and determination and isn’t always going to be easy but if we can just create a little something beautiful that opens hearts then its all worth it. The ocean opens my heart as i weep into her great immensity. Humanity needs to stop and listen and through these small acts perhaps we can begin to change the world for the better. And so we offer this journey to the wellbeing of all, that we can rise from the suffering of these times and spread a little love.

The Offer

We wish to share this journey with the world. We realize that for many it is hard to make such a trip and so we offer this to you through stories, movies and song. We hope to run trainings and work with people we meet along the way promoting cultural exchange and understanding through collaborative projects. We will keep you in the loop as the journey unfolds.

Online Busking

Busking is something we have done many times in our lives and it’s always a great chance to go out there on the streets, meet the people and earn a bit of cash along the way… This journey is entirely self funded by the skipper and crew but if you feel inspired to support in any way and drop a Euro in the hat please do at the bottom of this page, and we would love to hear from you so do please get in touch.

We may be travelling under the power of wind as our ancestors have done for thousands of years, but how do we really care for our Planet??
